Bear witness to the many regal aspects of gameplay; Build guilds to attract heroes and order them to remove nearby monsters lairs. Explore the map and locate sites for the construction trading posts. Defend caravans as they return to market, providing the gold to expand the local town. Place flags to ward away your heroes from dangerous creatures, until they are ready for the challenge. Upgrade guilds to unlock a host of abilities for heroes to learn. Adapt key buildings to summon the races of elves and dwarves to your cause. Research magical items, potions, weapons and armour so that heroes can equipment themselves for the tasks you assign them. Gather your heroes into mutually benefiting parties, so that they may stand a chance against the unknown dangers hiding in the darkness.
