Lyon Game Developers Conference Launches Inaugural Call For Papers

Conference Focused on Next Generation Games and Multi-Platform Development Encourages Experienced Developers to Submit Topics for Consideration by 28 September, 2007

LYON, France - 6 September, 2007 - Call for papers for the first annual edition of the Lyon Game Developers Conference (Lyon GDC) opened recently. Experienced developers and industry professionals are invited to submit their proposals for sessions on the Lyon GDC website ( www.lyongdc.com) by 28 September, 2007.

A critical melting pot for developers, Lyon GDC will bring together internationally renowned speakers and technical experts. The event will take place December 3-4, notably the same week and location as Game Connection, the most important business convention in the game industry. The conference will focus on two much-talked about topics: next-generation games and multi-platform development.

Sessions will cover timely and relevant subjects that will be structured into 6 core tracks: Programming/Coding, Game design/ Scenarios, Arts/Animation/ Storyboards, Audio/Music, Production/Project management, and Business/Management.

"As the first GDC edition ever to be held in France, the Lyon GDC is the place where all European and international developers want to be this year. The European game industry is blessed with incredibly talented people and it is crucial to provide them with opportunities to share their knowledge and ideas", noted Pierre Carde, executive director of Lyon GDC.

The Advisory Board for the Lyon GDC is composed of internationally recognized professionals. They include:

- Viktor Antonov, Art Director and Founder of The Building design studio

- Sarah Chudley, Business Developer of Bizarre Creations

- Risa Cohen, Independent Producer

- Emmanuel Darras, CEO of Ankama Studio

- Serge Hascoet, Chief Creative Officer, Ubisoft

- Julian Eggebrecht, CEO of Factor 5

- Nicolas Gaume, VP Mobile Content, Lagardère Interactive

- Julien Merceron, Worldwide CTO of Eidos

- Avni Yerli, Managing Director of Crytek.

Finally, helping to design and commission content will be Jamil Moledina, executive director of the GDC.
