Kalypso announces new studio in Munich
Publisher's second game development studio of the region to focus on creating Tropico sequel
Publisher Kalypso Media Group announced it has founded a new game development studio.
Based in Munich, the new office named Nine Worlds Studios, will be responsible for creating the newest entry of the Tropico series.
Additionally Thomas Schneider, formerly of Aesir Interactive, was hired as project manager and will lead in setting up the studio.
Nine Worlds Studios is also the second Kalypso Media Group office within Munich.
"We are pleased to announce the establishment of our second studio in Munich," said Kalypso managing director Simon Hellwig.
"This allows us to use already existing infrastructures between our two studios. We are confident in our ability to ramp up the studio to full size by early next year to start production of Tropico 7".
