Capcom's fourth Phoenix Wright title, Gyakuten Saiban 4, has shot to the top of the Japanese charts, selling over 250,000 copies on its first week of release.

Capcom's fourth Phoenix Wright title, Gyakuten Saiban 4, has shot to the top of the Japanese charts, selling over 250,000 copies on its first week of release.

The game brings the total number of Nintendo DS titles in the top ten to six.

Mario Vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Mini's, another new entry, is at number two in the charts for the week ended April 15, selling just over 92,000 copies.

With Wii Sports and Wii Play at numbers three and five in the charts, that leaves only two places in the top ten not occupied by Nintendo titles.

Koei's Musuo Orochi and Konami's Pro Baseball Spirits 4, both for the PlayStation 2, are at eight and nine in the charts, just ahead of the other new entry in the top ten, Rocket Company's My Relakkuma.

The full Japanese top ten follows:

2. Mario Vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis

3. Wii Sports

4 .Yoshi's Island

5. Wii Play

6. Professor Layton and the Mysterious Village

7. More English Training

8. Musou Orochi

9. Pro Baseball Spirits 4
