Intel is set to launch a contest for game developers at next week's GDC - with US $95,000 worth of cash and prizes on offer.

The second Game Demo Contest is open to the worldwide development community, and will judge games in two different categories, both with a US $10,000 Grand Prize.

One award will go to the best threaded quad core game, while the other will go to the game that best takes advantage of advances in mobile application gaming.

The competition launched last year, with prizes awarded to Koios Works, Jellyfilled Games, and the independent team behind the game Toblo.

More competition details, including how to enter, are due to be announced next week.
