GamesIndustry.biz partners with Game Connection Europe

Videogames business community site to assist with new Selected Projects event in Lyon

GamesIndustry.biz and Game Connection Europe have partnered once again for this year's event in Lyon, taking place on November 16-18.

The event this year has expanded to include an investor conference and project pitching session - called Selected Projects - as well as the industry-standard business meetings system.

As well as providing editorial and networking support to Game Connection Europe, GamesIndustry.biz publisher, Phil Elliott, will assist in judging the merits of the Selected Projects submissions.

Those submissions, which will be in varying degrees of development, will cover the console, mobile and online sectors - and 20 nominees will also have the opportunity to pitch their games to a range of publishers, distributors and other key industry figures.

"We're thrilled to be working with the Game Connection team once again," said Elliott. "I'm really looking forward to seeing the 20 games, some of which will hopefully become benchmark titles of the future. It's a great expansion for Game Connection, which has proven itself as one of the most important industry business events for developers and publishers on the European calendar."

And Pierre Carde, CEO of Connection Events, added: "We are proud to be partnering with GamesIndustry.biz, one of the most trusted news source out there for professionals. Their experience in the videogames sector and their media input will be a real bonus when deciding on the best game demos."

More information on Game Connection and its constituent events is available on the official website.
