GamesIndustry.biz Live digital event series debuts on July 30th

Seven weeks of digital events to support the fast-changing needs of the video games industry

From Thursday, July 30th to Friday, September 18th, GamesIndustry.biz will host four free digital events for the video games industry.

That's in addition to extensive coverage of third-party and sister events, including GDC, Devcom, EGX, PAX and Esports BAR. GamesIndustry.biz will also be a significant presence during the recently announced EGX Digital and PAX Online.

The series of business events comes under the label of GamesIndustry.biz Live, which is the banner name for all our events going forward. Each event is designed to educate and unite the games industry around specific areas and topics, including employment, investment, uniting with other entertainment mediums, and an update on the current state of the games business.

Thursday, July 30th, 2020

An unprecedented series of global events means that we face the arrival of a new console generation against an entirely new and rapidly changing background. State of Games will deliver an in-depth, data-focused view on the health of the games business and how companies need to position themselves to succeed in the new global marketplace. Featuring talks and analysis from leading data suppliers from Europe, US and China plus, a networking gathering and expert panel.

GamesIndustry.biz Live: Changing Channels

A day-long conference and networking event that unites the worlds of TV, film, books and video games. Changing Channels is in partnership with the BBC, and we've teamed up with our sister comic-Con and book teams to deliver a range of speakers from all mediums on how these different entertainment worlds can work together.

GamesIndustry.biz Live: Investment Summit Online Autumn
Wednesday, September 9th - Thursday, September 10th, 2020

Our hit investment summit returns with a two-day event leading up to PAX Digital and EGX Online. It will feature a 36-hour meeting system, talks, networking and a 'pub quiz'. Celebrating our tenth anniversary of the event, the Investment Summit Online Autumn will include talks on a European timezone on day one, and a North American timezone on day two.

GamesIndustry.biz Live: UK Best Places To Work Awards 2020
Friday, September 18th

Our annual awards highlighting excellence in video games employment will return with an all-digital event. The event will feature talks on topics such as COVID-19, diversity and handling abuse allegations, before we reveal the winners during our awards ceremony. This year's awards is sponsored by Amiqus and will feature a special prize for the company who best managed the pandemic crisis. The judging system has also been revamped for 2020.
