GameRise

Flash-based multiplayer/payment tech attracts over a hundred customers.

COPENHAGEN, Denmark – April 27, 2009 – Nonoba http://www.nonoba.com – creator of Flash gaming’s first Multiplayer and Payment APIs – today announced several new developer partnerships and websites created using the company’s GameRise platform, which enables anyone from enthusiasts to professionals to develop and manage customized gaming sites with a host of great community features.

Since its launch in March 2009, GameRise has signed-up over 100 customers, and has partnered with large portals to power their casual game offerings using Nonoba’s tool-kit and content management system. The companies represent several geographies globally, including a Dutch game portal ( http://www.nonoba.nl/), one in China ( http://5dyouxi.com/), one in Belgium ( http://warez.be/) another in Portugal ( http://nonojogos.com/), and Slovenian portal Najdi.si ( http://multiplayer.brezplacne-igre.com/).

“We wanted to make a high-quality Dutch game portal that would appeal to a slightly older demographic,” said Ringo Blanken. “Using Nonoba services, we were able to make it happen cheaply and easily. We still have some work to do, but we have a very strong foundation of games and content to work with. The best thing is that we don’t have to worry about investing huge chunks of time on infrastructure or creating content. It’s helped a save a lot in both time and money.”

GameRise gives casual game developers and Nonoba’s partners customizable gaming sites with full control of the catalog of games, appearance, advertising, and language, as well as the ability to manage chat rooms, forum discussions, and mail templates for user feeds about what’s happening in the community. Combined with Nonoba’s Multiplayer API, Flash developers are now quickly pumping out some of the industry’s most innovative games played by hundreds of thousands of people every day. Developers and interested parties can sign up at http://nonoba.com/developers/gamerise.

“We’re very pleased with the number of responses we’ve received related to our GameRise platform, and how fast our solution has become a preferred platform for developers to create their own casual gaming sites,” said Jonas Kjellberg, chairman of Nonoba. “As we continue our focus on simplifying the games creation process and working with developers to bring new revenue and monetization streams to their offerings, we will constantly explore new products to integrate into the solution that allow even more flexible options for developers on both current and emerging platforms.”
