City Of Heroes’ Largest Ever Tournament is Underway
Monday 18 July 2005/... Over 80 teams from different countries all over Europe are fighting in the largest tournament that the City of Heroes community has ever seen. NCsoftTM Europe is pleased to announce that the first ever Super Summer Slam Spectacular (S4) has started, as teams compete for some very exclusive prizes and, of course, international prestige.
The first combative stage, entitled the Pentad Cup, is currently being fought across two weight divisions on four servers, with both low and high level players slugging it out. Over the next two months the 84 teams entered will be whittled down to eight, who will face each other in the Grand Finals to determine the champions of Europe!
Each Grand Final team will also be sporting costumes designed by the winners of the Super Summer Slam Spectacular Costume Competition, the first stage of the event. Prizes for S4 range from framed artwork and unique engraved medals, to iPod minis and City of Villains Beta accounts.
Stephen Reid, Content and Community Manager, NCsoft Europe said: "The response to S4 has been excellent. Teams from all over Europe have entered but there can only be one winner in each weight division, and we're looking forward to seeing which team - and which server - will ultimately be proclaimed as European Champions."
