Eurogamer expands network to Spain

Spanish language site joins network as company continues Euro expansion

Eurogamer has launched its fifth European language site – Eurogamer España.

The third European launch this year, Eurogamer España is run by the team behind the popular Spanish gaming blog Anaitgames.com.

"We've once again found a fantastic group to work with and we’re delighted to be able to launch a site in this key gaming market," commented Rupert Loman, MD of Eurogamer.

"Our European network is now starting to demonstrate its potential with co-ordinated pan-European editorial, marketing and community activities."

The Eurogamer Network reached more than 2.6 million users in September 2008, through Eurogamer.net and its German, French, Dutch and Portuguese editions, community site Eurogamers and EurogamerTV. The company also publishes GamesIndustry.biz.

"It's a great pleasure for us to become part of the Eurogamer Network and we feel that now it's the perfect time to expand the brand to Spain," offered Eurogamer España's Xavi Robles Sàrries.
