Epic Games credits Among Us devs for Impostors Mode

Acknowledgement of indie developer as inspiration follows almost two months after feature's release

Epic Games today credited Among Us developer Innersloth as the inspiration behind Fortnite's Impostors mode.

The acknowledgment was a part of a blog post detailing updates to the battle royale game.

Epic said the latest update to the game "brings improvements to Impostors, the game mode inspired by Among Us from Innersloth."

Fortnite's Impostor mode was introduced in August and drew attention for allegedly being too similar to the popular whodunnit indie game Among Us.

At the time a number of Innersloth employees shared their thoughts of Fortnite's Impostors on Twitter.

Fortnite has been accused of taking ideas from other games as well using popular dances over the years.

Epic Games has even faced lawsuits in the past for the alleged theft of some of these ideas.
