Cryek establishes Korean branch

New Seoul-based office to spearhead the company's efforts in Asia with the Crytek engine

Crytek has announced that it has founded a subsidiary company in Seoul, South-Korea to expand its business in the Asian markets

The new office, led by Young Mok Park, started operations recently and will focus on Crytek's engine licensing business, with a dedicated engine support team for their existing and new partners.

"Establishing an office in Seoul was the logical step to expand our business in Korea as well as giving our engine licensees in this region the best possible support, through direct access to a dedicated local team," said Faruk Yerli, managing director of Crytek.

"When we first met Young Mok Park, David Yoo and James Hong we instantly knew that they were the right team to kick off our Korean business to the Crytek standard."

Young Mok Park, country manager of Crytek Korea, added: "Crytek's Korean office will take a key role in increasing the quality of service to CryENGINE clients. By establishing the Korean office, Crytek has shown its commitment and strong interest in Korean game companies as well as the Korean gaming industry."
