Manga-style browser MMOG launches "Trial of the Ancestors" expansion.

Press Release

For immediate release

Dublin, Ireland – June 1st, 2010 – gPotato is delighted to announce the launch of Trial of the Ancestors, a new expansion for its manga-style browser MMO Canaan Online. In Trial of the Ancestors, the level cap is raised from 80 to 100, the playing world has been extended with a brand new zone, Sunmill, two new dungeons, a challenge instance, Tower of Ancestors, plus a wealth of new features.

The two new dungeons, called Elven Secret Mausoleum and Heart of the Devil, will present players with new tests of their skill and fighting prowess, as will a brand new challenge instance, Tower of the Ancestors with six different levels to complete and top tier equipment as the reward.

Guilds will be able to construct buildings such as the headquarters and the bank, which will also bring new daily quests for guild members to participate in. As well as the PvP island and Experience Occupy battles introduced in the last expansion, guilds will now be able to fight each other for the rights to certain resource areas as well as pitting themselves against each other in the great Prestige battle.

It’s not all about fighting, however. Trial of the Ancestors introduces the idea of marriage to Canaan Online. Players can get married - with a variety of marriage gift options including wedding dress, suit, rings, fireworks and gifts to give out to their guests - and will then enjoy benefits such as extra experience and gold when adventuring together. Players will also be able to fly – on a magic carpet or using demon’s wings, for example - to enable them to cover terrain much faster. Additional features include the ability to greatly boost the stats on favourite equipment and being able to reset pet training points.
