BioWare to release Mass Effect 2 Collectors' Edition
Special edition to bundle exclusive comic book, DVD and in-game armour
BioWare is to release a Collectors' Edition of Mass Effect 2, which will come with exclusive items such as in-game weapons.
To be released alongside the standard boxed game, the Collectors' Edition will come in a tin case and include a hard cover 'Art of Mass Effect 2' book, issue one of the Mass Effect Redemption comic book and a making-of DVD. It will also give users access to exclusive in-game weapons and armour.
"We're really excited to roll out this Collectors' Edition featuring so many unique items, including special Collectors' Edition armor and weapons and content that will surprise Mass Effect fans," said Dr Ray Muzyka, co-founder of BioWare and group general manager of EA's RPG/MMO group. "The limited edition comic book and bonus DVD will really enhance and expand the overall Mass Effect 2 experience."
Limited quantities of the special edition game will go on sale on the same day as the standard SKU, on January 29 in Europe and January 26 in the US.
