BAFTA and EA team for next-gen developer speeches

Former CEO of Dreamworks to speak in London next week

Glenn Entis, former CEO of Dreamworks and now technical and visual boss for EA worldwide, is to deliver a speech on the growing synergy between films and games, at an event on September 28th in London.

This is the second event joint-organised by Electronic Arts and BAFTA, following on from Will Wright's talk earlier this month, and it's believed further events are planned involving non-EA personnel, GamesIndustry.biz can reveal.

"We are extremely proud to partner again with BAFTA as together we open up events to the wider entertainment industry," said Fiona Sperry, VP of EA's UK studio.

"I first met Glenn when we were still an independent developer (Criterion Games), working with Electronic Arts on Burnout 3. I can honestly say that one hour with him fundamentally changed Burnout 3 and set it on the path to the multi-award winning game it became," she revealed.

"To this day Glenn is someone who always gets us thinking about whether we're delivering all we can and helps us reach new heights in graphics, technology and gameplay," she added.

Entis' address is entitled Games Grow Up - The Next Generation of Entertainment, and will be held at the London Hippodrome in Leicester Square on September 28th in London.
