Atari board shuffled as Jim Wilson appointed director

Former Atari Inc CEO joins parent company as Pascal Cagni resigns

Jim Wilson, previously CEO of Atari Inc, has been appointed as a director of the board of Atari SA, the group's parent company.

The appointment comes as a previous director, Pascal Cagni, resigns. Wilson has also been appointed as deputy CEO of Atari SA.

In another appointment, Hindol Datta becomes interim chief financial officer as as the previous holder, Phil Veneziano, moves on to another career path.

"Since joining Atari, the company has undergone a significant transformation with continued improvement in results and greater opportunity for expansion," said Wilson.

"Our world renowned brand and catalogue of proven franchises have positioned the Company well as we diversify our business into online, digital and mobile platforms, in addition to other media and merchandising categories."

Wilson has been CEO of Atari since joining in 2007, and is crediting with turning around the business in the US and Europe. Before joining Atari, he worked for 15 years as senior management at Sony Wonder/BMG, Universal Studios and Vivendi.
