Atari appoints Alex Chung as digital strategy boss

New director brings experience in casual and social spaces

Atari has appointed Alex Chung as its new senior director of digital strategy and distribution. He will be responsible for Atari's PC and casual distribution across North America.

Until recently, Chung has been working as a consultant in business development, contract negotiation and marketing in media distribution. Prior to that, he held a position at The Walt Disney Internet Group working on online gaming, social networks and partnerships.

"Alex joins Atari as we continue to drive our business into the online market, his strong background in casual and social digital distribution and strategic partnerships will reinforce and expand those revenue streams," said Atari President Jim Wilson, to whom Chung will be reporting.

Recently, the online market has proved fruitful for Atari, even when other sectors have not, largely due to Star Trek Online and Champions Online.
