Capcom share valuation drops JPY 2 billion

Publisher reassess stock value; 2008 consolidated forecast remains unchanged

Capcom has posted a stock valuation loss worth JPY 2 billion (USD 20 million), for the fiscal year of 2008.

The publisher explained that the loss will be recorded in the 2008 non-consolidated income statement. However, it will have no effect on the consolidated financial statements, leaving the fiscal 2008 forecast unchanged.

Capcom's stock last traded for JPY 1,717 (USD 17.3) on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, up 0.35 per cent from the previous close.
