Ubisoft, Fig, Gimli, Alto, and Ultra have joined a number of leading blockchain companies to form the Blockchain Game Alliance. The group is a partnership between leading gaming and blockchain companies that aims to democratize blockchain within the gaming industry.

The founding members of the coalition are:

  • Gabby Dizon - Alto chairman and co-founder
  • Alex Amsel - Fig head of blockchain strategy
  • Dan Biton - Gimli co-founder
  • Manon Burgel - B2Expand co-founder and CEO
  • Nicolas Pouard - Ubisoft blockchain initiative manager
  • Ludovic Courcelas - ConsenSys consultant
  • Marc Coupal - Enjin business developer
  • Shaban Shaame - EverdreamSoft CEO and co-founder
  • Nicolas Gilot - Ultra co-CEO

Together, the coalition hopes to create an open forum for discussion and collaboration on ways blockchain can be integrated into gaming, including development of standards and best practices.

"The Blockchain Game Alliance is advocating for a universal standard in the blockchain gaming space to create a more interoperable and transparent ecosystem which will benefit stakeholders, by furthering innovation and ensuring economic viability," said Ultra CEO Nicolas Gilot.

"Blockchain is redefining the gaming experience by providing transaction transparency and proof-of-ownership, while also bringing exciting innovations and financial incentives to players. While the Alliance is still in its early stages, we are ambitious in our future plans and look forward to welcoming new members and unlocking the power of blockchain technology for the gaming community."
