Aonic purchases marketing company Exmox for nearly $100m

With the new addition the gaming firm intends to strengthen its advertising operations

Video game firm Aonic Group announced that it's acquired marketing platform Exmox for nearly $100 million.

Founded in 2015 and based out of Germany, Exmox has created marketing campaigns and advertised for various game companies over the years.

With this addition Aonic said that it intends to strengthen its advertising operations.

"Exmox possesses an expert level of knowledge and has a unique marketing platform which will substantially strengthen the future growth of Aonic within the ad-tech space and beyond," said Aonic co-founders Paul Schempp and Olliver Heins.

Aonic's acquisition of Exmox comes months after the company announced it would invest in a new gaming outfit.

During that same announcement, it said that mobile game developer TutoTOONs and mobile ad business AddApptr joined the division.
