World Cyber Games 2008

USA tournament schedule unveiled.

(NEW YORK, NY., JULY 24, 2008) World Cyber Games (WCG), the recognized blue chip leader for international video game competition, has announced the regional tournament event schedule to qualify for the WCG USA 2008 National Final. Elite gamers will have the opportunity to strut their stuff in a dozen premier PC and Xbox 360 titles at regional tournaments held in Los Angeles, Washington D.C., Dallas and Chicago throughout the month of August. Players who qualify for the WCG USA National Final, taking place at the E for All Expo in Los Angeles from October 3-5, compete for the honor of being a part of the defending World Champion TEAM USA squad, which will be looking to defend its world overall title at the WCG 2008 Grand Final in Cologne, Germany this November.

The dates and venues for each WCG USA regional tournament are:

• WCG USA Atlantic Regional: August 2-3

Included among the twelve (12) PC and Xbox 360 official game titles to be showcased at the WCG USA regional tournaments are: Half-Life: Counter Strike 1.6, StarCraft: Brood War, WarCraft III: The Frozen Throne, Command & Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath, Age of Empires III: The Asian Dynasties, FIFA Soccer 08, Need For Speed: ProStreet, Carom 3D, Halo 3, Project Gotham Racing 4, Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock and Virtua Fighter 5.
