Wizard Land

Match-3 puzzling with a pointy hatted theme.

For immediate release

January 14, 2010

January 14, 2010: Rumbic Studio announces the release of Wizard Land, a new casual game. The match3 mechanics is diversified with a variety of obstacles, bonuses and extra tasks, so that casual game lovers would find it challenging and entertaining. The story is set in a marvelous land of magic, and its detailed map creates a fairytale atmosphere together with relaxing background music. The player helps an old wizard cross the Wizard Land and bring its inhabitants back to life by reviving the mythical crystal flower.

Wizard Land supports different modes (time or relaxed) and game types (Swap, Chain or Group). It should be noted that the mode and type can be changed at any moment, which is not a ready commodity in match3 games. The types require different playing techniques: Swap implies swapping items to make chains of matching ones; Chain implies selecting chains of matching items; and Group requires selecting groups of them. The matching items blow up and make place for the new ones.

Though Wizard Land is based on common match3 mechanics, there are peculiarities that make the process more interesting. For instance, it is possible to turn the playing area and thus control where the items come from and where they fall. To complete a level the player should destroy all marble plaques and move the key to the keyhole by matching the runes.

The first levels may seem quite simple, but each next level is more complicated by challenging obstacles. Chests and chains (single or double) need an explosion or two to disappear. To help the player complete difficult levels the game provides tips and three powerful bonuses. Mega Bonus, the most useful one, blows up a lot of random items; Shuffle Bonus mixes all the items and creates new combinations; Electrization Bonus blows up a random item together with surrounding ones. Quick players get extra "Combo" scores.

To finish the game the player should pass the five regions of the Wizard Land and find the mysterious stone flower situated in a Magic Place - a deep underground cave. The more levels are passed, the more stone petals turn into iridescent crystal. Its great magic power is the only thing that can revive beautiful Wizard Land!

- Unlimited gameplay;

- A fairytale world full of magic;

- The opportunity to unveil the secrets of Wizard Land;

- Relaxing music.
