Walt Williams leaves 2K Games

"I'm not leaving games, but I am leaving AAA"

On Friday games writer Walt Williams announced he was leaving 2K after nine years.

Williams joined the company in August 2005 and during his time there has contributed to a huge number of games. He was most recently the lead writer on Spec Ops: The Line but his portfolio also includes The Darkness II, BioShock 2 and more recently Evolve and Sid Meier's Civilization: Beyond Earth.

He called his time at 2K "one of the most trying, difficult, and mind-blowingly wonderful experiences" of his life and thanked fans for playing the games he worked on.
