Urban Rivals reaches 1 Million players!

08/11/2007 Urban Rivals, the massive online trading card game announced a million players have registered on the website since it launched in March 2006.

In just 18-months the popular trading card game has reached a significant milestone and Urban Rivals continues to be regarded as one of the fastest growing online games in Europe.

Boostr, the company behind Urban Rivals is delighted at the games growth. CEO Sebastien Flory commented "This is a great day for Boostr as a company but more importantly for Urban Rivals as a game. The number of players today and the ever growing daily registrations tells us we've made a compelling game that players obviously enjoy".

He continued, "It's been an amazing experience to witness the growth of Urban Rivals. We want to reach two million players in a much shorter space of time. But really, it's all down to our community and big thanks to them for supporting us throughout and spreading the word so effectively".

Urban Rivals started life as a Java application and was only available on mobile handsets. The move to the web has been instrumental in the game's recent success and growing reputation.
