UK charts: Forza 2 in pole position

Forza Motorsport 2 has raced straight into first place in the all-formats software chart, becoming the third fastest-selling Xbox 360 title released so far.

It's also the fourth fastest-selling game on any format this year, according to Chart-Track, behind World of Warcraft expansion pack The Burning Crusade, Final Fantasy XII and Resistance: Fall of Man.

Forza 2 has pushed last week's number one, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, down into third position - while Tomb Raider: Anniversary remains at number two, selling just 1000 copies more than the hit movie tie-in.

In fourth position it's Spider-Man 3, followed by Wii Play - the first riser in the top ten, moving from number six to number five after sales increased by 14 per cent. Mario Strikers Charged Football drops two spots to number six, while Pro Evolution Soccer is at seven.

Remaining steady in eight is Dr Kawashima's Brain Training as Cooking Mama falls to number nine. Rounding out the top ten is Microsoft's Shadowrun.

Elsewhere in the chart there's just one new entry other than Forza Motorsport 2 - The Sims 2: H&M Stuff, which debuts at 11. There are two re-entries, both Wii titles - The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (number 24) and Red Steel (number 40). Wario: Master of Disguise enters the chart at number 31, two weeks after hitting the shelves.

Big risers this week include Sonic and the Secret Rings, up 11 places to number 15, and Big Brain Academy, which moves from 37 to 30. Final Fantasy III saw the biggest fall, dropping from 30th to 39th place.
