UK becomes official gamescom partner

UKT&I to provide funding for businesses to attend European event

The UK is the official gamescom partner country for this year, with trade association TIGA co-ordinating the regions presence and promotion at the European event.

TIGA will also be working with UK Trade & Investment to help support a number of local businesses attend the event through the Trade Show Access Program.

"At TIGA our vision is to make the UK the best place in the world to do games business. So we are delighted to be the official partner of gamescom, one of the world's critical trade fairs for the video games industry," said Richard Wilson, CEO of TIGA.

"The UK is one of the world's creative hubs and a global centre for video game development. Partner status will demonstrate to the global video games industry that the UK is at the heart of video game, creativity, development and innovation."
