Treyarch to launch Call of Duty iPhone App
Application to provide stats, performance-tracking, friends links and news feeds
Biennial Call of Duty developer, Treyarch, has announced that it is releasing an iPhone App to enable gamers to keep track of their in-game stats and compare progress with friends.
The World at War team will launch the App today - called Call of Duty: World at War Companion - to link in with data from the next-gen title.
Registered players will also be able to track in-game performance and access a news feed direct from the developer.
According to publisher Activision, 1.75 million World at War gamers have registered with the title's website, while sales have now exceeded 11 million globally.
Treyarch and Infinity Ward currently take it in turns to release Call of Duty titles every other year, with the latter prepping Modern Warfare 2 for release in October.
