THQ Nordic revives 16 Nickelodeon games as part of "asset care" strategy
Publisher announces return of multiple Nickoldeon titles including Invader Zim, SpongBob SquarePants, and Avatar: The Last Airbender
In a continuation of its strategy to bring back the previous THQ portfolio, THQ Nordic has today announced the revival of multiple licensed Nickelodeon games.
A total of 16 old titles will be returning for international sale, save for The Fairly OddParents which be US only.
"We are very proud of signing this agreement, which was originally executed by the 'former' THQ Inc," said Adrienne Lauer, US vice president of digital sales and business development at THQ Nordic.
"It is a perfect fit for our 'asset care' strategy: bringing back fan-favorites, continuing to support legacy games and make them available on current and even next-gen platforms."
The move is indicative of THQ Nordic's business philosophy, as CEO and founder Lars Wingefors outlined in a recent interview with GamesIndustry.biz.
The full list of returning games is as follows: Avatar: The Last Airbender, Back At The, Barnyard, Catscratch, Danny Phantom, El Tigre, Invader Zim, Jimmy Neutron, My Life As A, Teenage Robot, Rocket Power, Rocko's Modern Life, Rugrats, SpongeBob SquarePants, Tak And The Power Of JUJU, The Fairly OddParents (US only), The Ren & Stimpy Show, and The Wild Thornberrys.
