The Impossible Game

Minimalist platformer with a techno soundtrack.

Having become one of the best-selling games on the Xbox Live Indie Game store, The Impossible Game is now available on iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad!

The Impossible Game is a minimalist platformer with only one button, and has been described as "platforming taken back to its roots" by GameTrailers.com. Jumping over a series of spikes, pits and blocks may sound easy, but The Impossible Game, as its name implies, could possibly be the hardest game ever made.

Set to a pounding techno beat, the game is absolutely unrelenting in its difficulty and a quick search on Twitter will find hundreds of players putting their gaming skills to the ultimate test. No wonder Eurogamer.net described it as "bafflingly addictive".

New features for the iPhone/iPod Touch version include: a new, improved level layout; a statistics page listing (among other things) how many times you've died; and Twitter and Facebook integration, so players can boast to their friends about how far they can get!

A free browser-based demo is available now at http://www.flukedude.com/theimpossiblegame and a "lite" version of the game will be released onto the App Store shortly.

The Impossible Game is the creation of British indie game developer FlukeDude. His forthcoming projects include "Sci-Fighters", a four-player party game with graphics by Dim of the Super Flash Bros and voice contributions from Egoraptor, author of the "Awesome" flash animations.

The Impossible Game is available now on the App Store for the bargain price of 99 cents (£0.59), as well as on the Xbox Live Marketplace for 80 Microsoft points.
