Take-Two opens Japanese publishing division
GTA: Episodes from Liberty City to be first game published by Take-Two Japan
Take-Two is to open a new publishing division in Japan, which will enable it to release its own titles such as Bioshock and Grand Theft Auto in the country instead of handed them to external companies.
According to Siliconera, Take-Two Japan will handle all publishing and localisation duties for the company's IPs going forward, starting with Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
To date, Capcom has handled the publishing of Take-Two's GTA series in Japan, with the exception of Chinatown Wars which was released by Cyberfront, while D3 acted as Japanese publisher for the recent Bioshock 2.
