Troubled publisher Take Two has appointed Robert A. Bowman to its board of directors.

Troubled publisher Take Two has appointed Robert A. Bowman to its board of directors.

Bowman is president and CEO of Major League Baseball Advanced Media and has experience on the boards of Blockbuster, World Wrestling Entertainment, The Warnaco Group and the Michigan Education Trust.

"Bob's tenure with Major League Baseball, as well as his experience as an entrepreneur, a senior corporate and financial executive, and his public sector service will provide Take Two with tremendous perspective," commented Strauss Zelnick, chairman of Take Two.

"I recognise the great talent at Take Two and the amazing opportunities in the videogame industry," said Bowman.

"I am especially excited about joining the board of directors as the new management revitalises the company," he added.
