Super Nintendo World to open at Universal Studios Hollywood in 2023

The California-based theme park will join Osaka as the second Nintendo themed amusement park

Yesterday Universal Studios announced that the Super Nintendo World theme park will be opening at its Los Angeles location in 2023.

The announcement was made via a Twitter post on March 10, also known as Mario Day.

The California location will be the first US-based Nintendo themed amusement park to open.

It will join Osaka as the second Super Nintendo World venue. The Japan park opened during March of last year.

Meanwhile the US' Super Nintendo World is on pace to also open at the upcoming Epic Universe park in Orlando (Florida) in 2025. Originally it was set to open in 2023 but construction was delayed due to COVID-19 Universal said.

Aside from these various locations, an amusement park in Singapore was also announced in 2019 but details haven't been shared.
