Stonetrip partners with Ideaworks

ShiVa3D and Airplay engines integrated

Engine-maker Stonetrip has announced a partnership with fellow dev tools firm Ideaworks Labs.

The two have arranged for integration between Stonetrip's ShiVa3D and Ideawork's Airplay SDK, meaning that users of the former can port their games to an array of mobile platforms via the latter.

While ShiVa already included support for iOS, Android and Palm, the partnership with Airplay adds Windows Mobile, Symbian, bada and Maemo into the mix. Airplay users, meanwhile, will receive full access to use ShiVa's engine and editor.

The integration has borne fruit already, with DVide Arts' Crusade of Destiny exported to Symbian and bada for the Samsung Apps store.

Said Jopacus J. Parrott, CEO of DVide Arts,"We were amazed at how easy it was to deploy our game to bada using the new integration of ShiVa3D with Airplay SDK - it really is seamless. We've already been able to make Crusade of Destiny available to millions more customers by submitting to the Samsung Apps store, and the Nokia Ovi store should follow shortly."
