MTV Networks' Entertainment Group announced that they have promoted Jon Slusser to the position of senior vice president, Spike digital and video games.

MTV Networks' Entertainment Group has announced that it has promoted Jon Slusser to the position of senior vice president of Spike digital and video games.

Slusser will manage the upcoming merger of iFILM, an online video site, with Spike TV as Spike.com. Slusser will also oversee the GameTrailers.com site as well as the PC-gaming application Xfire.

"Jon came to us when MTV Networks acquired GameTrailers, already a powerhouse in delivering deep video content for gamers and creating original programming," said Erik Flannigan, executive vice president, digital media.

"Now we are able to leverage Jon's expertise in the Entertainment Group's wider, multi-platform digital world. He'll play a key role in creating the Web's premiere destinations for men."

Slusser, a USC graduate, launched GameTrailers in 2003 and joined MTV Networks as a vice president upon its acquisition of GameTrailers in 2005.
