Sensor Tower: Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery revenue surpasses $55m

First-time downloads continue to rise noticeably through July

Jam City's Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery continues to ride its franchise to success, with Sensor Tower estimating the game has grossed over $55 million since its April 25 launch.

In addition, Sensor Tower data reveals a steady increase in first-time downloads even into July, up 11% month over month to over 3.5 million downloads.

About 47% of player spending on the game comes from the US, with the UK taking second at 9% of money spent.

The game's April launch spawned multiple criticisms of its monetization system (including from our sister site, Eurogamer), which gated players from progressing for hours at a time.
