Senior mobile exec leaves InfoSpace

Company confirms plans to move away from mobile content

InfoSpace has announced that Stephen J. Davis, president of mobile and online media, is no longer working for the company as it shifts emphasis away from mobile content.

According to a statement, there are no plans to hire a replacement for Davis as "InfoSpace is reducing its investment in mobile content and focusing on its online and mobile infrastructure businesses."

However, the company has appointed a new senior vice president and general counsel. Bruce Easter joins InfoSpace from Seattle-Northwest Securities, where most recently he held the position of vice president and general counsel.

Prior to joining SNS in 2003, Easter also worked at Nextlink Communications and Davis Wright Tremaine.

"Bruce brings significant legal expertise to InfoSpace, having played a critical role in the development and growth of several successful businesses," said InfoSpace CEO Jim Voelker.

"We're excited to have him as part of our leadership team moving forward."
