SCi name change to Eidos now in place

SCi has officially re-branded itself as Eidos effective immediately, adopting the company's logo and stock trading symbol of EID.

The publisher announced yesterday that it had filed a request to change its name with the Registrar of Companies.

Speculation is mounting that the company is being considered for acquisition by Ubisoft and EA, having previously thought to be sought after by Warner.

SCi has been going through radical restructuring, resulting in a number of job cuts and cancelled projects.
