PUBG Global Series cancelled, digital competition to replace it

PUBG Continental Series to offer total prize pool of $2.4m

PUBG Corporation has decided to cancel its PUBG Global Series events for 2020 due to COVID-19, replacing them with a digital PUBG Continental Series instead.

The series will consist of the PUBG Continental Series Charity Showdown in May, and a series of events across Asia, the Asia-Pacific region, Europe, and North America in June and August.

In total, the combined prize pool for all events will be $2.4 million, with the PCS Charity Showdown specifically seeing $100,000 in prize money for each region and $100,000 set aside for donation to a charity of the winner's choice.

Additionally, PUBG Corporation is presenting $20,000 in compensation to each of the 21 teams that qualified for PGS Berlin earlier this year and can no longer compete, with some compensation also allotted for teams in regions that had yet to complete qualifiers.
