Pokémon Company to donate $25m to support youth organizations

The firm said that it's dedicated to being "a positive force in the lives of children and create a more equitable, inclusive world in which all can flourish"

Today, The Pokémon Company International announced that it intends to donate $25 million across the next five years to non-profits that support children and work to create equitable communities.

The firm said that the monetary support will be given to a predetermined group of organizations.

It said that the selection was based upon work on global, regional, and local levels.

The non-profits that will receive the donation include Black Girls Code, Central Única das Favelas, and Stop AAPI Hate.

Additionally, the entertainment firm said that it will partner with organizations that serve the local communities of where its offices reside.

"We are dedicated to leveraging that unique ability and the support we’ve received from our broad community of trainers to be a positive force in the lives of children and create a more equitable, inclusive world in which all can flourish," the company said.
