Pocket God

Update #36 arrives.

SAN FRANCISCO - December 21, 2010

Bolt Creative today announced two exciting additions to the world of Pocket God, with the release of update #36 for the best-selling iPhone app, which has also been recognized by Apple as a Top 10 Paid App of 2010, and the availability of issue #4 of the Pocket God comic series. Both the Pocket God update and the latest issue of Pocket God Comics are available now for download.

Pocket God update #36, dubbed Konkey Dong, is the third and final update in the Ape Entertainment tribute series, a set of three updates released in honor of the Pocket God Comics publisher. Like its primate-themed predecessors, Konkey Dong adds an exciting mini-game that pays homage to classic video-gaming at its best, with a small twist that Pocket God fans will surely appreciate.

Pocket God Comics #4 concludes the first arc of the best-selling comic, taking place where issue #3 left off with Ooga as the lone survivor and the tribe’s last hope to restore peace and order to their lives. Okay, maybe just order. Making his way deep into the temple, will Ooga be able to convince the seemingly unmerciful gods to grant the group immortality once more? As a gift to fans, a bonus holiday issue is also available at no extra charge.

In celebration of the holiday season, Bolt Creative has unveiled a special greeting to all their fans in the form of a Christmas—or rather, Fishmas—animated short! Watch the tribe as they contemplate the spirit of the holidays, along with some season’s beatings, by clicking here:
