PLAY Paris brings PAX to Europe

"Powered by PAX" fan expo on April 21-22 to include video games, tabletop gaming, esports, concerts

The PAX brand continues to expand. Pop culture event organizer ReedPOP today announced PLAY Paris Powered by PAX for April 21-22 at the Grande Halle de la Villette.

The event will be the first of the "Powered by PAX" international expansions, the concept of which was originally announced last year. The inaugural Powered by PAX event was intended to be GC Play in Guangzhou, China last November but that event was postponed due to a government event scheduled around the same time, organizers said.

"We're super excited to be launching a new gaming event in France as part of the Powered by PAX brand," global PAX content director Guy 'Yug' Blomberg said. "PAX represents a gaming festival that puts the community first, while honoring the players, developers, and publishers of games. It's going to be awesome to see what the passionate local gamers bring to the event!"

As with other PAX events, PLAY Paris will include PC, console, and arcade games with tabletop gaming, esports tournaments, panels, and live concert performances from acts like The Toxic Avenger and Neko Light Orchestra.
