Pitch launches unique mobile marketing initiative

Free content available to consumers in exchange for opt-in advertising

Mobile content provider Pitch has announced the beta launch of the UK's first free mobile content service, specifically designed to provide a unique benefit for end consumers and leading brands looking to reach a targeted demographic.

Consumers who join the Pitch service will be asked a series of profile-building questions, including age, gender, gaming and lifestyle habits and general interests, agreeing to accept up to three targeted mobile adverts per week in exchange for unlimited access to free mobile content for life.

Pitch will be providing the latest ringtones, games and graphics from leading mobile publishers, accessible via its WAP site and funded through a network of advertising partners who will be creating and deploying marketing campaigns specifically targeted towards an accepting consumer group.

David Warburton, Pitch's executive chairman, commented: "Mobile advertising is a massive channel, the potential of which has hardly been realised.
