PAX East cancelled due to COVID-19 pandemic

The annual convention will be replaced by PAX Online 2021 digital event running July 15 to July 18

PAX organizer ReedPop announced the cancellation of PAX East 2021 today.

The event was originally scheduled to take place in-person, but has been cancelled due to ongoing health concerns of COVID-19 in the United States.

In its place, PAX Online will be held again this year as a three-day event from July 15 to July 18. It will be free and open to the public.

ReedPop shared that it is optimistic that PAX West and PAX Unplugged will continue as in-person events in September and December respectively.

Disclosure: PAX East is operated by ReedPop, the parent company of GamesIndustry.biz.
