Opera releases DS Browser

Opera Software has released the US version of the DS Browser for Nintendo's handheld console.

Opera Software has released the US version of the DS Browser for Nintendo's handheld console.

The Norwegian company already supplies the browser for the Wii, which is available to download for free until the end of this month.

"With the DS Browser, Nintendo continues to expand the possibilities for users of this tremendously popular game platform," commented Scott Hedrick, EVP of marketing for Opera Software.

"Opera is excited to work with Nintendo to bring the easy and accessible way to browse the internet to DS lovers in North America."

The browser comes in two models, one for the DS Lite which is available to buy in retail stores, and one for the original model DS, which is only available via Nintendo.com.
