Nintendo coming to US-based Universal theme parks

Orlando and Hollywood parks will join Osaka location in featuring publisher's famous brands

Nintendo's appeal is truly Universal. The company today provided an update on its partnership with Universal Studios, confirming that Nintendo-themed areas would be coming to all of its parks. That means in addition to the previously announced plans for Universal Studios Japan in Osaka, Nintendo's characters will also be coming to Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood.

The Nintendo area will be added to each park one at a time "over the next several years." The company has previously said Universal Studios Japan would see the first product of the partnership roll out in 2020.

Each park will be left to announce the specifics of its Nintendo push, but the companies are promising that they will be "expansive, immersive and interactive," offering something for everyone, regardless of age or gaming ability.
