Nintendo of America has announced that Steve Singer, formerly VP of the company's Latin American subsidiary, has been promoted to vice president of licensing.

Singer joined the company in 1999, having previously spent over a decade at Whirlpool Corporation. He is taking over the role of licensing VP from Juana Tingdale, who is retiring after a 22 year stint with Nintendo.

Melissa Wright is set to take the title of new director and general manager of Nintendo Latin America following Singer's move.
