Nifty Games raises $12m in Series A funding

Funding so far totals $15m, will support new, licensed NFL mobile title

Nifty Games has closed a $12 million Series A funding round, bringing the studio to a total $15 million raised to date.

The round was led by March Capital Partners, with other participants including aXiomatic Gaming, Defy VC, Vulcan Capital, Courtside Ventures, Transcend Fund, Century Game and OneTeam Ventures.

The funds will support the development and publication of a new mobile title, NFL Clash, which is licensed with the NFL and the National Football League Players Association.

Nifty Games additionally has formed a partnership with the NBA and the National Basketball Players Association for a licensed NBA mobile game.

“The NFL has always been keenly aware that a large portion of our fanbase loves to engage our sport through video games," said NFL head of gaming and esports Rachel Hoagland.

"We've looked to bolster our offering on mobile devices and are thrilled at the built-for-mobile, clash-style gaming that Nifty Games will deliver to our fans."
