New studio Tequila Works formed

Spanish team working on new IP for digital platforms

A new studio based in Madrid has been formed by ex Blizzard, Pyro, Mercury Steam, SCEE and Weta Digital staff.

Tequila Works is currently developing original intellectual properties for digital distribution platforms.

Between them the team boasts experience on games including Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, MotorStorm, Diablo III, Heavy Rain and Commandos, as well as movies The Lovely Bones and James Cameron's Avatar.

The team is being led by CEO and creative director Raul Rubio and chief technical officer Ruben Alcaniz.
