Nearly £300,000 raised for GamesAid last year

Two events planned for 2011 already as industry looks to best total

Industry charity GamesAid raised an impressive £291,552.24 for its constituent children's organisations last year, and two events are already on the calendar for 2011 as plans build to surpass that total.

First up is an industry darts evening to be held at a London pub between February and March. Entrance will be £20 for each member of the doubles team, with experienced players teaming up with rank amateurs to even the playing field. Prospective players should contact the charity to give a rough impression of numbers as early as possible.

Tuesday July 19 has been set as the date for the annual GamesAid poker tournament, sponsored by Relentless. The tournament will take place at the Grovesnor Casino on Brighton seafront at 7:30 on that evening. The buy in stands at £50 and can be registered now at the event's Just Giving page.
