The new company has been established following NCsoft's acquisition of a 51 per cent equity stake in NC Sina - a joint venture which NCsoft formed with Sina.com in 2003.

According to NCsoft, the new subsidiary will provide services for the publisher's global product range within China. It will also develop and publish new titles specifically designed for a Chinese audience.

NCsoft already has branch offices in the US, Europe, Japan, China, Taiwan and Thailand, plus a subsidiary in Osaka, Japan. The company's research and development centre is based in Beijing.
